Faulty Sacrifice
Your theology must work itself out, exhibiting
itself in your most common everyday relationships. Our Lord said, “. . . unless
your righteousness exceeds the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, you
will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven” (Matthew 5:20).- Oswald Chambers
“So if you are presenting a sacrifice at the altar
in the Temple and you suddenly remember that someone has something against you,
leave your sacrifice at the altar. Go
and be reconciled to that person. Then
come and offer your sacrifice to God.”
Matthew 5:23-24
So many speak of great convictions but do
not follow through in action. What will it take for those who proclaim to love
Christ to learn to follow Him in obedience?
The church is full of those who believe they are walking in Truth when
truly they are only walking in religion. We will never know true life in Christ
unless we learn to reflect the love of Christ.
