I lift up my eyes to the hills—
where does my help come from?

My help comes from the LORD,
the Maker of heaven and earth.

He will not let your foot slip—
he who watches over you will not slumber;

indeed, he who watches over Israel
will neither slumber nor sleep.

The LORD watches over you—
the LORD is your shade at your right hand;

the sun will not harm you by day,
nor the moon by night.

The LORD will keep you from all harm—
he will watch over your life;

the LORD will watch over your coming and going
both now and forevermore.

Jesus guaranteed that in this life, we would have trouble but when we choose to put our faith in Him, we can overcome anything.

"I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world, you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world."

John 16:33

No matter what happens in our lives, we can never be separated from God's love, His protection or the purpose that He has for our lives. He is there to protect us when we place our trust in Him. It does not mean that He will fix every problem we will encounter but if we choose to trust in Him and His plan, He will get us through. God is truly our Helper and our Security.
